Early in the process of shaping my wood. The wood i have selected to use is Macrocarpa, alongside New Zealand Redwood. The reason for choosing these specific types of wood is because they are both native New Zealand woods, they are rigid and strong, easy to shape and light in weight. The Macrocarpa wood is my attention grabber as i have placed this wood in the front of my design as the leading edge. The redwood pieces are the following pieces which sit behind the heavier Macrocarpa wood.
